After some searching I found a nice 1/72-scale resin kit of the Viper Mk. II, provided by
Starship Modeler and Black Sun Models.
The cast quality is fantastic. It came packaged
with decals and an instruction sheet.
I collected various tools and finishing products, and will be snapping some pics as I go
through the long and patient process of model building. It'll probably take about three
weeks to finish.
